Word is they would do $6,500 without too much haggling. Go see Rick in sales.Only ONE of these in a sea of Road Kings....Someone go for it before I pimp myself out on Craigslist for some extra cash (might take a while).
Is the tailpiece missing, or just not on when they took the picture? That would down grade the price to me. The titanium mufflers are expensive, and sound absolutely wonderful. They are extremely fragile, however. Dorcia can dent them with her boots. The high hangers like that are not particularly comfortable for the passenger, if that matters. The standard hangers will fit. The Ohlins suspension is first rate, and the bike handles much better than you might think. Injection/ignition is well sorted from the factory.About the only issue is the stupid ITI speedo. Most failed early on, some keep on keeping on. Rosie got a case of the ethanol fuel warts on the tank. Some do, some don't, it seems. It's the last of the *real* Guzzis. ~; ;D

Looks a whole lot nicer in the flesh, saw it when I took the 1400T in for it's 6,000 service, yes very cold ride at 11 degrees when I left the house but much warming coming home with my new heated gear, Cam don't laugh.
Like most of the spines the guys who originally lusted after them now have the money to buy, but now can't take the riding position. Younger folks don't want them because they don't make 2.7 quadrillion HP and what's a Moto Guzzi?Stunning bike for sure but it caught in a weird place in time. To old to be modern. To new to be collectable and too oddball for 99.99% of the motorcycling public.
Didn't Dave Despain ride this one to the National at New Cumberland WV? Seems like I remember talking to him there. I think he said Moto Guzzi America gave him the bike?Dean
He was at New Cumberland, i enjoyed talking with him. For a moto head like me his voice was very familiar. I do not recall the way he acquired the bike. How would he rate a free bike?? who knows.
