I've been Kmpf. BMW since mid 1970's
.. built & rebuilt road going Racers,
& took a break from riding.
College Riding Chum is still with
his R1100S in Black & family all grown.
Now .. looking at the 2004 R1150R
I'd prefer, it would take a new full length trans Input
shaft, better valves in heads, an ABS
rebuilt and updated just to get to
a healthy '04 standard as that trans
problem is Factory Designed in.
And the Exhaust Note is The Worst.
Next year I'll score as new a Griso
I want to install just the
2014 California main Frame alone
a steering head mod
enough for these
Upstate New York Mountains.
Are the Griso engine bosses
the same as California blocks
for a drop in?
Do the 1400 Barrels drop into
the Griso block or is there
block machining involved ..
which I'd prefer to cut
Which is the Performance better head :
1400 or what year Griso ?
Is this a bolt in or what .. /
