MIA questions

Hi folks. Questions for anyone with the MIA Bluetooth system to (somehow) use your smart phone’s maps/GPS and translate it for display on the bike’s TFT.

1. Is this a reasonable understanding of how it works? (If not, and you’d care to educate me, I’d appreciate it!)

2. Is there an audio component? I.e., “In one mile, turn left.”

3. When in use, how much TFT real estate does it take up? Can you still see speed/tach?

4. Worth the money overall, or just get a mount for your phone?

Hi David,

My 2022 V85TT came with MIA, and I have used it mostly for stats and route tracking. You might find it most instructive to install the Moto Guzzi app on your phone and poke around it. There's a manual in the app which describes features and how to use them. You should be able to access that without pairing it to a bike.

I've had pretty good luck with the navigation component and don't have much interest in using a phone mount myself. You'll find a lot of people are frustrated with MIA, but my experience with it has been generally positive.
