How to post photos to the Discussion Board
« on: February 17, 2008, 11:05:07 AM »
One of the most asked questions I receive are how to add photos to post.  There are several ways to do this, but thanks to Beaver for posting these  fine instructions.

This option requires external hosting of images http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=14180.msg211074#msg211074

I don't mean to be rude but there are a lot of people saying they can't post photos, and no helpful responses are being posted...

I also can't post photos and it's really frustrating because I'm trying to describe a specific wire, but a photo would say a thousand words, as they say.  There's a nice icon that says "insert image", but when I click it there is no browse option (as most people are describing).  The only thing that gets inserted is "img/img" into the text.  I've tried using firefox, explorer and chrome, but nothing works.  A resolution would be most appreciated!  Thanks

This is the most asked question on the forum.  It really is quite simple.

Once you upload your photos to an off-site host, all you need to do is COPY the URL for the image.  Then, all you have to do is click the "insert image" icon when posting or replying.  In between the hash tags, PASTE the URL you just copied.  That really is all there is to it.

Sorry, but I cannot help you get your photos uploaded to the off-site host at all. There are too many of them and I am not familiar with them all.
