I’m loving the 82….maybe he’ll bundle them together, as they say on American Picker..lol

But if you twist my arm, I’ll take the 79, also…

Read a comparison between these and a Lemans in Motorcycle Classics and the reviewer was surprised that the Guzzi kicked ass.

I own both an bevel SS and a LeMans, the 100K mile Lemans since 1987 and the SS since 1993.  The SS is a better sport bike for those who know how to ride it as it was designed, and are physically able to do so. For casual riding the LeMans is better, and I suspect that’s what your reviewers were doing (actually I think you could bet on it)

i also own both a le mans 2 and a 1982 900SS , not much difference performance wise ,
but the le mans s easier to live with, easier maintenance, rock solid reliability, easy part supply.
the 900SS is a great bike to have on loan from a friend ,
the le mans is a great bike to own..

last 10 years my le mans got ridden 60.000 miles, the 900SS a tenth of that

Read the text of the ad.  36K for the MHR, and 26K for the 900SS.  I suppose the ad would look just as odd with 62K on the header vs. 10.

1981 and 1982 SS's ( last series) are the less sought after among bevel SS series.
1979 MHR's  (first serie) are the most sought after among MHR series.
It makes the value difference.
If summarizing, Le Mans your wife, SS your mistress.   :boozing:
