Allen Millyard's latest build - a 698 cc Velocette v-twin
« on: March 24, 2019, 10:12:51 AM »
It amazes me the bikes that he can build. I think this one is my favorite!

First start: https://youtu.be/27-92lW7irI
Out on the road: https://youtu.be/v0aY7sHNAGw

From his Facebook page, here's the bike (sans gas tank). The engine was made from two Velocette MAC 350s. It's kind of a "what if" bike: what if the factory had built a v-twin back in the day.

His work and ingenuity is amazing, I have seen many stories published over the years of his multi cylinder engine builds. I would lve to see some his machines like the 4 cylinder Kawasaki two stroke and V8 Kawasaki.

Wow- very cool.

His work never fails to impress.  Making interesting-looking bikes is one thing. Mating engines into functional art along the way separates him from the rest.

I'd like to see that done in Guzzi configuration.
Incredible work!

I wonder how it runs given the intake manifold that’s shown.  It looks really compromised.  The rest of the execution is wonderful so it’s hard to imagine the builder would accept anything less than good engine performance.

Can't see how he'd have any other option than to do what he did with the inlet manifolding.  There's just no space available within the narrow confines of a 45? degree vee for a pair of sidedraught carburettors.

Beautiful engine.  Looks to be 45 degrees.
