Just got in a few hours ago, what a ride!
I am north of Atlanta so to beat the rush left Thurs morning 6am 49degrees.
Warmed a few points through ATL and proceeded to drop again to 43deg's.
By Macon all was warm again and it just got nicer as Brooksville FL came
into view around 4pm. Didn't catch many last names but there was Carl White and his charming wife
with camper to feed us(again,THANK YOU!), another Carl with vast Guzzi miles under his belt. This gentle codger (exclusively on Guzzi's since 1975) was riding his white v7 and knew Guzzisteve quite well. There was Bill the "Historical Fantasy" writer on a Guzzi Bobber, Mike on his R.E. and antmanbee(Alan ) on his 750Breva. Also appearing on a white 2012 Norge(w/HEATED Corban seat!) was guzzidad(Steve Wagner) whose has attended the past 18 years! He also knows guzzisteve- a recurring theme it seemed!
BMW was also represented along with Triumph.
And a v-11 sport with a custom upside down Centauro tail light!
I went visiting the in-laws and The Chasco Fiesta Boat Parade in Port Richey (oldest boat parade in Florida) and an old highschool pal in Sarasota. Headed inland to avoid the parking lot called interstate 75 traveling to Arcadia and north up 17 and 98. A sweet ride.
Around this time I saw a monster alligator (aren't they all?) near the side of the road. Yee-ha!.
Oh, and visited a cool old motorcycle repair shop near the campground.
Great trip, tent did well, weather most nearly cooperated.
1265 miles in all.
Go GRiSO or go home! Lol
