8v 1200 sport running on one Cylinder now wonít start

Hey guys some help would be very appreciated
I havnt made it up to roper to get the tune tweaked since itís had the rollers done by him, I donít ride much maybe once every two weeks, I regularly let it run for a bit every few days but yesterday it was popping like gun shots out of the muffler abs today it would only run on left side, right side is cold as a nuns you know what , now doesnít want to start

Any ideas 2012 8v 1200 sport

I pulled the spark plug from the offending side abs it was black as hell Iím yet to swap the plugs to see if I move the issue to the other side of thatís not the issue I
Will Moved on to the next step

As SoCV said, it is likely the spark plug cap. If you look, you might see evidence of sparking to the valve cover. Pulling the cap off can cause it to crack on the bottom side of the 90 degree angle. Well known issue. When it happened to my Stelvio, I temporarily put a couple layers of electrical tape on the cap until I obtained replacements.

I have to add that this is assuming you are still running the original type caps.

In order to get the original caps off, it is best to reach into the air tunnel with a long flat blade screwdriver and carefully lift up on the bottom of the cap as you pull on the top.

  Where was it ever suggested to simply start and run a bike for some short while and turn it off again .
