MGX 21 Tires (Metzeler 888)

I am considering getting ME888 tires for my MGX as most are raving that it positively transforms the bike.. Right now there are imitations on the tires. The MGX comes with Dunlops Elite 3s that are RADIAL tires in the size of 120/70 - 21. Odd size for sure.

For ME888, I am only finding BIAS built 120/70/21 with belt support. Will these work? Is this the version people are putting on their MGXs? Or are they going radial? I don't know enough about tire technology and how it would be different. But can't afford to make a mistake either.

I run Avon Cobra Chromes on my Audace. They work well, handle well and get decent mileage. They have them in your size. The stock tires on my bike didn't handle very well but they were 5 years old when I got the bike. I don't remember what they were or if I even bothered to find out. The front on my bike is different than yours but I think the back may be the same.  Good luck.

If you can get the right size I would go with either the newish CruiseTec or ME 880.   Metzler claims both are superior to me888 in all areas.
