1967 v700 fuel tank help
« on: May 07, 2019, 11:15:02 PM »
decided to have a go at roo covering my 67 tank, cheaper than paint and keeps oe patina and chrome safely preserved, will just bog up dents ( no lead)
but wtf is the little dick that sits behind filler cap?
had presumed a one way vent years in front of itself
but appears solid and cap is vented
in all loopies or just very early ?
thx

edit
i get it, holds the swivel cap holder arm ( missing)
bolt broken under flush
drilling now, should be fixable

Yes, M12-1.0. MG Cycle offers adapters to use later petcocks, making your own shouldn't be difficult.
