Era correctness is low on my priority list when it comes to tires. The V7 Sport is so much fun to ride hard, I like a modern performance tire. I run 100/90-18 front and 120/90-18 rear Pirelli Sport Demons.
Run that type (but Pirelli SuperCorsa) on my fast bikes. My old Guzzi is not fast.Anyone running the Battlax BT-45s?http://www.bridgestone.com/products/motorcycle_tires/products/battlax/bt45.html
Can I use tubeless TT100GP on V7 Sport spoked wheel? with a tube of course.
Yes. The only thing that changes is the speed rating of the tire. It downgrades by 10 mph IIRC (i.e. an H-rated tire would be good for 120 with tube vs. 130 without tube).
Thanks Charlie, very reassuring to hear that from you.Googling the use of tubeless tyre on tubed rim is like an oil thread, didn't get a firm answer after reading hundreds of lines.
Had a TT100 on the rear of my RD400 "back in the day". One thing I remember is that it had "triangular" profile vs. more rounded and the transition between straight up and leaned over was sometimes a bit unnerving. Don't know if they've changed that, but it might be something to keep in mind.
