St. Louis and Snow
« on: January 12, 2019, 10:34:38 AM »
We got sleet & freezing rain and nine or ten inches of snow and it shut down the interstates.
Many people sat overnight on Interstate 44 and Interstate 270, and more.
Very slippery with many many vehicles off the roadway.

And, it's still snowing.

Here's a pic from early this morning

Beautiful, especially when you don't have to go out in it.

Yea, Iwoke up to 8 inches of that shit covering my 50 foot wheelchair ramp going down from my front porch.  Nothing for it but to get my wheelchair out the door and start shoveling.  one an a half hours later I've got access to my van again.  And my fingers and toes are frozen.  Winter sucks big time here in Ill Noise.  It looks like no warm up to get rid of it before the next one either.
I will be putting a big dent in my canned goods supply.

looking at the tube, it looks a little frosty in Kansas City.  I'll bet Chuck from IN is watching.

I was right. Another 8 inches on the ramp today.  More shoveling.

When I was a kid days like that were welcome. If it snowed enough, school would be canceled or delayed.
So grab a shovel, and hit the street to make some money.

Hopefully you have a kid near you who doesn't get an allowance.

Same here with the shovel as a kid.  I’d work all day at it.  I don’t EVER see kids walking around with shovels anymore, much less knocking on my door.  They’re too damn lazy these days, and would rather sleep late then play video games.   Pussification of America!

I saw the trucks lined up on 44 on the news, would be better if people got off the interstate so they could plow.
I was a truck driver for 5 yrs and many other drivers are to stupid to park it.
And when we do get snow in Tn I shovel my driveway and I’m 65, no enterprising young Americans ever show up,
That’s why the foreigners are here.
