A closer pic of the aluminum clutch basket.

The serial # is located about 1 1/4 inch left of the fill plug. Slightly hard to see but its there

Closer look at the aluminum clutch basket.

The other pic looks like there is some sort of epoxy on the cover. Like I said earlier this engine /trans has some very rough castings

That clutch basket was amazing to see when you popped it apart. It's a solid chunk of machined alum alloy, nothing like the soft pot metal production basket. It was like finding a race spec moto GP part inside of a.................. ............convert ? Wtf....! The insides, and some outsides, we're all rough castings from an early male mold, later smoothed a filleted to go into production. The entire area around the rotor/stator was completely different. The famous hex piece was a flat tang like a Popsicle stick slid into the end of the cam.......! Didn't see the other end of it.

That master cylinder looks so familiar, but I don't know where to put it. Is it perhaps Scarab? I think I saw one on a 70's MV Agusta 350. Or perhaps a Malanca.

I think it was used on Benelli Sei (posted a few weeks ago by Canuck750)

that is pretty dang cool!
be sure you replace the 3 o-rings in the torq converter housing when you put it back to stock.

Hello Convert lovers...

I have a Cali2 with Convert-Gear and now it`s leaking ATF again.

Are these numbers correct: 65x2,5mm
                                         52x2,5mm
                                          21x2,5mm for the O-rings?

Are you using original rubber or FPM?

Are you using sealant or something else?

I did this job 2 years and 18000 Km and all was try until noe...

Kind regards

Thomas

Thanks, TOMB for posting this great info that will be used on the two 'verts in the barn.

Here is my Converts' nomenclature.

1975 is not early enough for the desired very early transmission?
