Laconia appears to be a rutted 1/4 mile.

The surface got rutted quickly. They tried their best to prep it between races. But it was really rough in turns 1 & 3.  If they are gonna do this again they need to bring in some clay, plant some grass and build a grandstand and pit row.

Lima half-a-mile.  Too hot to go outside.  Fanschoice on the tube, cold PBR.

yes; for some cast-off bikes, it was very good. Close is looking good in both classes.

Damn good racing.

Something that Jared did (or, perhaps it was Nichole) on taking over the Lima promotion is to make track-preparation a priority.  They had enough drags on hand to do the full width of the track from top to  bottom in just once circuit.  And, as important, the drags were out there after every race--nobody standing around to decide what to do to--work the track every time no matter what without any discussion.  Same with the water truck.  Maintain a schedule through the day so there's no unexpected delay while somebody messes around with the track (which, by that time is often too late).

Something else that Lima does (and Springfield) that others could learn from is with the folks who check that your wrist band or name-card is correct for where you're trying to go.  At Lima (and Springfield) I never saw any track person say anything rude or behave in an unnecessarily authoritative way.  They're not supposed to be police; they're there to help.  There are lots of smiles from the track people at Lima and that goes a very long way to making the experience for the people in the stands much better.  I give Nichole Meese credit for setting that example as I'm pretty sure she is the one in charge of all of it.

When I first turned on the box it looked like Daniel standing in front of stands & camera. I guess I wasn't seeing things!!  I used to go in a van or meet up w/Dist 17 flat trackers over there, it is a nice track. You can tell right away who has been out front, there's no dirt on the front.

Yes and retired to the pit mid race. Maybe do better in Sunday's super pole and get a full race in tomorrow.
The best part of riding a motorcycle is to tilt the horizon and to lift the front coming out of a corner and to drift the back end powering thru loose dirt and to catch a little air topping a hill and... yeah it's all good!

Twice before, three times now!  So much for retirement. Now let’s get Tommy out there. He’s younger than Larry Pegram!
