As I remember, the options last week were ....


1)   Take the money- seriously doubt it will be enough or worth it.
2)   Take the money, buy the bike back and part out the good stuff.
3)   Withdraw the claim, replace the handlebars, instal whatever lights that I can obtain cheaply and ride the bashed up bike.

Sounds like the amount they offered made option 1) worth it.   Not to dip into your private business, but was the payout enough to replace the bike with a similar one?

No doubt- It's a bummer.  But I'm glad you're not the one on the wrecker, being hauled away as officially totaled...

Well, man, give us the details! Obviously totaled. How much did they give you? How much would it have cost to keep the bike?
