On another note, this movie is almost 3 hours long. While lined up shoulder to shoulder at the bathroom urinals afterwards with 5 other guys, It occurred to me that they should have named the movie No Time To Pee.
James Bond as written in the 60’s and played by Sean Connery, ( my favorite also, even though I grew up with Roger Moore as Bond), is gone forever. Too many people are offended by the sexist stereotypes. Even thought there women in the early Bond movies, most of the females were damsels in distress. Daniel Craig has been a great Bond for the time. Tough and confident while more respectful of women. Have not seen the new one. Rumors of a female Bond are on the internet, that would truly be something different..
I think as times change, the story lines will be less sexist, etc and characters like Pussy Galore will be named differently.
Spoiler alert, not giving away any plot here, just giving my opinion.I saw the new Bond film No Time To Die last Friday. I've been a huge Bond fan since seeing Thunderball when I was 8 years old. My favorite Bonds in descending order are Sean Connery, Daniel Craig, George Lazenby (On Her Majesty's Secret Service), Roger Moore, then Pierce Brosnan. Won't mention others. No Time To Die got universally glowing reviews. Me? Meh. It's a chick flick. Craig gets all emotional far too often. I miss the misogynistic, womanizing, cad that I know Bond to be. The attempts at witty humor largely fall flat. I actually enjoyed Roger Moore cracking stupid jokes. I loved Craig in Casino Royale when he stuck to his brooding, tough guy schtick. Now the future of Bond movies is in peril. What a run though. On another note, this movie is almost 3 hours long. a white dude named James Bond is probably not the way forward for the series... Hell, there have been like 30 movies around the "same" agent and half of them are so cheesey you can't sit thru it, so Mr. Bond has run his race...Good thing we have agents 001-006 and 008-????? to follow along and tell the tales. I do like the idea of an agent descended from one of the colonies picking up the mantle: India, Singapore, Malaysia, or Saharan Africa... Could be cool! No Australians tho, them fellers talk funny

Perhaps someone from the US next time, as it would qualify as a former colony (or several!)
Pee Wee Herman playing the lead in "Shaft."
In regard to "George Smiley" video. As much as I admire Oldman as an actor, try to find the original 6 episode PBS version. To me, the movie format required far too much cutting of the story. Sir Alec Guiness, Ian Richardson - some of the finest Brit actors of their generation.
Actually that would be a bit like art imitating life..
