68 degrees and sunny today! :thumb:   (Sorry for those still stuck in the grip of winter!)

* Breakfast at Violetta's Cafe this morning in scenic Clarkdale, AZ
* Ride to historic downtown Cottonwood, AZ
* 1998 Moto Guzzi Centauro GT, aka "The Yellow Horse"
* 1999 BMW K1200S - "The Flying Brick" - 135HP inline-four
*2001 BMW R1150GS - A very smooth and nice riding bike!
* 100+ miles total round-trip - - rain coming in the next few days, so we had to get out and exercise the horses! :thumb:

Thanks and you're correct-- it's an MZ Skorpion Traveler.  The (very) poor man's Bimota.

Spring can't get here soon enough.  I just checked the long term forecast and it's predicting rain and snow on the 20th with a high of 46F.  My Skorpion won't be doing any traveling that day.  :)

Thanks john fish!

I almost bought a left-over MZ Skorpion ,(*new* in the crate) in 2004, when I lived in Aachen, Germany, but they wanted too much money for it.

I never heard of it called "The Poor Man's Bimota" and will remember that.  I know they are good little bikes! :thumb:

We had have a very "wet" winter this year, so spring in northern AZ cannot come too soon!

Sorry it's been such a crappy winter for you, JJ.  Let's hope things brighten up for both of us soon.  I need a bike ride soon or I'm going to go nuts.  (nutsier?)

Here's some more members of the YBC to appease the weather gods.

Very forlorn Beemer that's probably still for sale.

A friends Buell.  Wonderful machines.

And a Commando that occasionally shows up at our local meet.  I always thought that these were super sharp.

Some mad, Irish roadracers.

This may explain my affinity for the color yellow.  This is the flag of Donegal where my mother's people came from:

And my father's folks came from Baden-Wurttemberg:

And a yellow quiz.  Anybody remember this fellow?  My favorite cartoon:

Man, I really need for spring to get here.  Can you tell that I'm bored out of my mind?

Thanks for the images, john fish...and the kind words!  Spring is just around the corner for us here in northern AZ.

The few days of "SNOWMAGGEDON" were special, actually, because it rarely snows that heavy here.

What part of the world do you call home?

Interesting K75S. I believe these were imported in 94, one per dealer. They were" special editions" in Dakar yellow paint, with unique BMW logos. They were released to commemorative BMW winning the Paris/Dakar rally. This one needs a caring owner.

Well, I had to get me and enough stuff from NH to MN to work and live here for several months.  But yes, this is exactly why I'm looking towards a sport-touring bike next (and thus why I'm on this board -- a Guzzi is under consideration).  I've been riding Monsters for 25 years; it's time for a change.

Does the YBC suffer from millions of flies sitting on the tank when they stop for pie and mash?

I joined.

Picking up this clean, 1994 BMW K75 S, in Dakar yellow this weekend. I had a 1990 a few years ago, and really enjoyed the nimble handling of the S model.

JJ,

Thanks, I'm looking forward to picking this little gem up. I had actually purchased about a week ago, just before you posted the this "YBC" thread.  I am finally and to pick it up, as our area has had a few, late winter snow storms recently.
