That is the highest mount "low" mount exhaust I have ever seen.

The uni-sided messenger bag is also dumber than a bag of D*&K  hair. I know when traveling I like to load one pannier with all my stuff. I plan out the entire ride to see if there are more left or right turns that is how I determine what pannier to use. 

Shame Indian doesn't come out with a full on ADV bike.

???? Okaaaaay, how does the prevalence of turns on one particular side determine which pannier to use? Are you talking about removing one side, so you don't risk dragging that side in low turns? Or just general center-of-gravity concerns while cornering?

Also - I prefer the single side bag. I don't know why people insist on carrying everything they own every time they go on a ride. the bike's handling will be better with 20 lbs of crap on one side than 100 lbs split evenly side to side.

Just becasue you have panniers on the motorcycle doens't mean you have to fill them or keep them filled. Like condoms, bottle opener and insurance you don't always need them but they sure come in handy sometimes.

I was disappointed we didn't see more of the girl..
Lots of good shots of the countryside with a little speck passing through though. Must say I reckon the bike looks pretty good IMO.

ADV touring with one bag?

Looks like you could carry a quilt, a tarp, a Ka-bar, a lensatic compass, about 8 sheets of TP and a toothbrush.

Might be OK with the ultra-minimalist.

Adventure is different for different people. A single bag would do me, but some prefer a more camp-based approach.

I don't know if I consider the ADV an actual class of bike, any more than I think a cruiser is a separate class from what we call standards.

All I know is that if you start out with 2 empty 40 L Hepco Beckers you can return with 2 Twelve packs of bottled beer.

Sometimes its not what fits inside the panniers, but rather using the outside of the panniers for support. Here's the old DL650 loaded up with 4 new tires from my daughters car Junior.




I can also fit 3 cases of 16 ouncers in those 2 Pelican 1550 cases. A velorex 562 fits 7 cases ad makes it nearly impossible to fly the chair

This is the side bag I have, it is enough to hold stuff for both me and my wife. We will have stuff for the 2 or 3 day trips that we do several times a year. Granted, we don’t camp, just a change of clothes each, shoes, toiletries and tools.
