OK you can't be "too upside down" to sell a bike that you don't like. It'll only be worth less the longer you wait, get rid of it now and cut your loss.

"...It sounds like you just really don't want to ride the bike...The '26 Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory looks like a fold up and hunch over the tank bike. Do you plan on riding it?...

As I mentioned earlier, that shift from neutral into first on the V100 annoys me so much that given a choice between the three bikes that I have, it's third on the list.  The Tuono has a handlebar like the V100 and V7 Stone, so a more upright riding position.  The RS is the one with the hunched over riding position, and it costs $2K more than the Tuono, so I think I'll be good.  I actually enjoy riding the Triumph Scrambler 400X more than the Guzzis, thus why I'm trading in my V7 Stone on the Tuono.  I'm too upside down on the V100, but I own the V7, so that's the one leaving the flock.  The Tuono will share storage space with the V100, so it'll get ridden (whenever I have a chance to ride).  With work taking up my time M-F, and going down to NC every other weekend, leaves me about 4 weekend days a month to indulge my hobbies here in VA (the two Guzzis, Jag, Lancia, and firearms).  The vehicles only get taken out when it's dry outside, and the bikes have the added variables of not being too cold or too hot (like it was today).  So given those parameters, I can see now why the V100 only has 473 miles after 12 months.  Full retirement should create a LOT more riding time for me!

Does anyone know when the V7-850's will hit the USA?

We're usually last but the tumultuous economic environment might be making it worse.

I know the year I factory ordered my new 2013 MkI Stone the rest of the world got them in 2012 throughout the year and mine finally showed up in the last week or November or first week of December 2012 as a 13 model year product.

Riding an old Guzzi creates just as much - if not more - brand awareness for the company. Having your bike out where people can see and ask about it is free advertising for them.

As far as "building what I want", Guzzi doesn't offer the 400-500cc, lightweight bike I want so I wound up buying a Triumph 400X Scrambler. I highly doubt Guzzi/Piaggio will make another small displacement ADV/Enduro model. Maybe a 457 Taureg will entice me back to the family but it still won't be soled as a Guzzi.

I bought a new manual petcock from MG Cycle and it was leaky right out of the box. Not a lot, but any is too much. Thankfully, I have a used one that doesn't. I bought a couple used electric petcocks from fotoguzzi and will be using one of those on my "CX1100" project.

Thanks Steve. I  thought there was a 'tech' page here, for just technical discussion, but I don't see one. So, tried here. Will try a "Quota owners group" page on facehole next. The petcocks are the same as all of the other electric petcocks, I figured people would have more opinions and experiences with them. I had them on my EV and never had a complaint, but maybe they just don't age well.

I would lean towards the V11. Same engine as my Jackal and Stone..of course they were very unreliable.

Only got 100k+ out of each. Really monopolized my time...always thinking about the next ride!!

Guzzi ownership is a sickness......

This is my old 2002 V11 Le Mans.

Arguably, the BEST modern Guzzi I have ever owned and ridden... :thumb:   :boozing:

I put Rox risers on mine, the adjustable ones. A 1" lift and also allowed the bars to rotate backwards. Made for a more upright riding position. I just recently discovered that at a stop the shifter will stop in neutral from 1st. Very handy, don't have to even look at the neutral light or the gear indicator.
