Was heading out to the Wisconsin Guzzi rally this weekend when I noticed a short bald section on my rear Dunlop D404 tire. Rest of the tire had good tread left. Wasn't feeling any vibration or anything of that sort. Was about half way to the rally, but didn't want to chance continuing with a bad tire. Any suggestions? What is a good rear tire for this bike?

Bridgestone BT45 Or 46

Used BT45 for many years. Recently switched to a Shinko and reasonably happy.

I run Michelin Pilot Activs on my Jackal. Would probably use Shinkos, but I have tubeless rims, and I don't think Shinko makes tubeless tires in that size. (I'm thinking that there is a chance that I could put a plug in a flat on the road and make it to a place where I could more easily deal with the tire. This is for a sidecar outfit, and I have room to carry a compressor.)

Wouldn’t this work? The 130/90-17 is the size that has been recommended to me for my EV.

Thanks for that--I'll probably try one next change.

I use a 130 ContiGo on my Jackal with tubeless rims. needed to go down from 140 to clear the swingarm with the new wheels.
