If you could get a part made that has not been available in a long time, what would it be?
Example: a low cost gas tank made in aluminum or steel for a v11 sport/lemans?
How about a carbon fiber hugger or bikini fairing like on v11 café sport?

How about those nice, cast alloy foot peg holders that were on the 80's Moto Guzzi SP models as well as the Le Mans III.
I cringe to think how I would replace these unobtanium parts if the need arose!

I'd like to see someone repop the Eldo gas tanks. Price on those has gone nuts. BUT you did hit on the hang up, no one wants to pay what it would cost to tool up for small batches of obsolete parts.

Lots of Loop stuff. Early battery covers, fenders (stainless this time would be nice), tanks as Lee mentioned, front fender braces for all of the variations (disc and drum), less expensive bearing/disc carriers than what Moe offers, oil pump for the gear drive engines. Probably more I can't think of right now.

I think that Evan Willcox has done a tank for the V11. I believe that the Tank Shop has one too but not exactly the same.

They're probably "cheap" (made), just like the originals. Seams that rust, none too thick metal and typical Italian chrome. Too quiet (even for me) and rather restrictive.

Oh yea. The "middle" weight spring. I'm pretty sure I found the last four pair on the planet a few years ago - and I searched long and hard. A small shop over in England had them. Still sitting on two pair.

Here's one I just thought of: 4 spd., 4th gear bushing. Used my last new one in a customer's trans. today, don't seem to be available anywhere. Interested in making a batch, Lee? Looks like this:

Finding those springs would be like finding a few boards of Cuban mahogany. I have looked at every Dellorto and Guzzi parts site for them to no avail. If you should want to part with a set sometime before I mount the PHF 30's I'll put you in my will and on my Christmas card list. You'd even get an invitation to my daughter's wedding in September at Heron Hill winery.
They also made .8 kg springs but I have read that the 1.1 kg variety is the lightest they should be.
I have googled 850 T3 for articles and reviews on it and come across MANY riders whose only complaint with the bike is those nasty, heavy springs.
One last try. Does anyone know a person who makes springs?

Yes. I happened to get my PHF springs from Bevel Heaven. They're the lightest of the three, and are exactly what I was looking for. No sticking slides, and no tired wrist. I have no idea why they weren't standard on Guzzis.

I've machined some out of Delrin for a customer, but it was time consuming for an amateur machinist like me with an old worn out lathe.

2nd edit: From the photo at the bottom of that thread, it looks like a 3-D printed version would work fine. Does this sound correct? I can get my son to print a couple Nylon ones in a matter of days is anyone is interested in trying them.

It's mostly for heat isolation and to seal the carb body to the manifold. Load? The weight of the carburetor.
The issue I had with machining them is that if the o.d. was made to the specified 40 mm, when it was installed in the carb body, the i.d. ended up smaller than 37 mm and it wouldn't go on the manifold. I had to "fudge" the o.d. to get the required i.d.
After digging around in my stash recently, I found a n-o-s original which could be used as a pattern.

It sounds like the best way to have a chance of good printed parts is to get a carburetor body, plastic spacer, and "manifold" in hand. Then I can try the fit of the printed parts and make slight adjustments until they fit correctly. I'll get it done if someone is able to loan me the parts, which I'll return promptly.

I have the plastic spacer, but no VHB30 or manifold.

Affordable (<$2,000) cast or tubeless wire wheels for injected Californias. I realize that I can cob something together from used parts, but I would appreciate a specialist putting something together with new components...

I have all the parts (one good sleeve, manifold, 30mm VHB), but it is cold and my garage is snowed in, and I'm not in the mood right now to go out there and find the parts to make this happen. PM me in a few weeks with your address... FWIW, there is an oring groove on the OEM sleeve that AFAIC is totally useless. These things couldn't leak air if you wanted them to.
