Tough one. Rode to a park where there used to be a locomotive. Unfortunately, like many parks right now, they'd lost their funding, and the engine had been moved up north. Grumble grumble..
Remembered there is a "dinner train" in Atlanta, so ran by there. Fortunately, I was in time.
It may not be much of a locomotive.. but it is a locomotive.

For the tag, how about a cupola? It doesn't have to be as grandiose, and it can still be on top of the barn..

The tag o rama did it's job. It had me out on my scooter on this nice fall afternoon. It won't be long before our southern brethren will have to carry on this quest.

Easier to find and a lot more interesting to find up north, but not down in these parts.

Crossroads, pretty easy but I was at a loss for time and anything more interesting:

I'm not able to get out and ride for probably another week and a half so this is my vicarious riding thread.

Grab: (actually a few times, just to make sure).

Way up behind a nursing home in Boonsboro, MD (close as I could get).

High atop Red Hill, near Keedysville, MD.

New tag: "mom and pop", small town diner/restaurant/cafe'/eatery. This the Dixie Diner in Smithsburg, MD.

Unless the Scura has more than 300 hp, you'd lose that bet...

Historic Marker - yes this is the same Pickett 3000 miles away.

Since getting the Fascist (1937) bacon slicer running I've enjoyed the irony of using it to deliver our ballots.  So how about a tag with your Guzzi at a ballot drop box or polling place?

No voting going on in Maryland this year. When it is, the polling place is just the local volunteer fire department.

Didn't think of that.  Guess some states are smarter!  Here we've got a raft of state-wide measures, some state offices and a bunch of local ones.

How far are you from Gettysburg?  Maybe we can do a lateral and substitute another Pickett marker.

Didn't feel like going up to the mess that is Gettysburg today, just went for a lunch loop to Berkeley Springs, WV and back the long way. On one backroad near Unger, WV, I passed a place called "Farnum Colossi" and saw a giant Midas muffler man (and friends). Waaaay late with that one.

Never did figure out a polling place and won't be going in NorVa on Thursday just to find one!

That's certainly tag-worthy!

Don't know of any giant people around here, but could probably come up with a life-size Orca.  And there are some dinosaurs a couple hundred miles away (just down the road from Zillah) and more in Oregon.  Also in Oregon are a giant ground sloth and an ichthyosaur.

Maybe someone will find a polling station or a ballot box by Tuesday, otherwise tag reverts to giant people.   :thumb:

Muffler men are few and far between in Oz. I know where there is a dressmaker's dummy in a Bikini, she's down the south coast. Or I could nip into Fishwyck and get a pic of an inflatable bedtime companion in the window of one of the dirty book shops.

C'mon! Someone must have a Muffler Man near them!

I still may be able to find a "polling place" to get us back on track. Don't hit the "reset button" on my account.

Didn't go to a polling place Tuesday.. we were in Indy.  Elections around here were a few city officials, and we couldn't vote.
It's below freezing, so I'm out unless it warms up some. I know of a muffler man within striking distance.. and a giant pink elephant.

My "voting/polling place" (Boonsboro VFD Station 8) is less than a tenth of a mile away, but no voting has taken place since last Nov. 5th.

According to NPR only 5 states had elections and ours wasn't one of them - doesn't explain why we were mailed ballots and voters guides....

I would've thought there was someone from those state with a Guzzi!     Anyway, if you can't find a polling place maybe it's OK 'cause I found a muffler man...  errr tin man?

I’ll grab it.  This is my local voting place. Used to be the high school and is now the local senior center and poll location. Yes, I voted there 5 days ago.

We're looking for temps in the teens (Fahrenheit) on Tuesday so I took it for a run, filled the tank, and put some stabilizer in the tank while I was at it.

Jeepers, I'm not liking this winter stuff.  Who came up with this freezing temperature idea anyway?
