You want a bank, here's a bank

Alright, not quite the bank your looking for. I won't claim this. But I will see if I can find an older bank. At least I had the right bike this time

Chuck, you should swing by some time, I'm on your way to MG.

It is a Scura luscious kind of riding day here in Texas...weather is hard to beat!

Here’s an old town old time theatre and a new tag!  Find a buzzing bee hive of an apiary!

Some great tags!
It's actually warm here today for Pennsylvania and I was going to get that theater tag.  Damn!  :)   I googled local apiary and there are more around than I thought but it's too late in the day for me to get one.  Doubledamn!

Buzz buzz buzz!

Well...I almost got an old town courthouse nearby as a historic building, but it was under repair and the picture with all of the scaffolding just wasn't that good!

On the plus side, managed a nice 175 mile ride on the Scura today...perfect weather, bike running smooth as silk...hard to beat!  Winter in Texas along the Gulf coast is quite pleasant indeed!

I'm bumping this thread in anticipation of some decent riding weather tomorrow (55F!)

Look out unwary beekeepers!

I looked pretty hard to no avail. Maybe too much agriculture/pesticides? I was on mostly state highways, though. Probably needed to get on some of the one lane roads around here if/when it warms up again.

Shall I make an easier tag than the apiary?

How about a casino then?

Not exactly a casino, but there is gambling/betting on live greyhound racing and simulcast horse racing. Close enough?

Sounds good to me.  Keep the tag rolling.  What's next?

And it's almost 60F here and I went for a hike instead of a ride.  Sometimes, I question my judgement.

Those are cool...and somewhat vintage, and are known at "Gateway Signs"

So, without a park name my photo doesn't qualify?
Because in Italy, there are NO signs at park entrances...

Not at all...just making an ID of historical "Gateway Signs", that's all.  IMHO, ALL photos of Guzzi's always qualify! :thumb:

Here is the ol' Yellow Horse outside the 50's Diner in Cordes Junction, AZ at a recent breakfast ride.

That bike is two-tone Ford Fairlane Fabulous!

What type of paint/prep did you use on the bags? I would think it would be a nightmare trying to get anything to stick to that surface.

Thanks! I went to a color artisan, they gave me a spray primer base for plastic, then made me a can of blue metallic paint from the old Guzzi/Ducati color palette (they still have them 'cos they are car color standards, but with different names), and a generic opaque spray protector. With an expense of about 50 dollars I painted the two bags and half the top case.
The drawing was then done by handbrush by a girl that runs a bike customizer shop (the color is long-lasting, just re-coat it with the protector once a year).

Then I discovered that the only spray metallic blue the local Chinese supermarket sells is the exact hue of the original one... so with another 4 dollars I was able to finish coating the topcase...
