Replacing Miu g3 ECU
« on: July 19, 2021, 07:04:56 PM »
To anyone who has replaced an MIUG3 ECU - While I wait for a new one to arrive I was taking the old one out. I’m at the point where you unhook the cables but they won’t come out of the slots. It’s as if they are slightly larger in diameter than the slots are wide. I don’t see how that can be possible but they won’t lift out of the slot. They aren’t tight - they do move slightly. I didn’t want to force it so what’s the magic trick?

If you look on outside there is a locknut you have to loosen on both before they will slide up & out.

The locknuts are loose. That’s the problem. They won’t come out through the slots.

It worked earlier. Sorry. I eventually got it out. It took a lot of force - I decided they were either coming out or break off. They finally came out. Almost like the metal had been swedged after the cables were inserted. Weird.
