Dave Swanson:
Nice job saving the old girl.  Without your influence the future of this bike was a best uncertain.   Late to the party on this one, but per usual Charlie has provided his steady guidance.  Good going, and glad you are enjoying the T!

That's my "go to" chart as well.

Several updates -

Went back to basics since the engine was assembled and heat-cycled a few times.  Retorqued the heads, reset the valve clearances, re-gapped the points, and checked the timing.  Much better now - no popping or spitting and nice steady idle (for a carb'ed, points bike).

Electronic voltage regulator works a treat.  I am running a comically small lithium battery (36wh), but it was new and free and weighs all of 0.5lb (if that).  May swap to a larger one later just so I can enable shorter hops and know I've got enough juice to make it home.

Brakes still on the to-do list, but for now the good weather has arrived and I want to get some time in the saddle! :) :)

Will still do a video at some point.

I put the end-caps back onto the Dunstalls to see if it quieted them down at all, and they don't - plus would have to downsize the mains to deal with the backpressure, so why bother.  I wanted to pull the end-caps off while stopped on a ride, and found I have 2x 10-11 wrenches and 2x 17-19 wrenches, but no 13-14 wrenches in my original toolkit.  Anyone have a 13-14 they want to swap for either a 10-11 or a 17-19?

As promised…

The ride back is more interesting than the ride there, but you get the idea.

Have a great Memorial Day.
