V7 lll Stone 750 - Gearbox Oil change - My way

I decided to share another way to do it , without taking que exhaust out , making possible to do it with the engine hot , making the old oil drain better.

Tool needed :

Scissor jack or equivalent to put the bike stand straight.

24 mm spanner

Some M5 hexagon bit or equivalent wrench to take exhaust cover.

Some hexagon bit or wrench to take filler cap.

Something to catch the oil below.

Funnel

Let's get started :

1 - Put the bike on jack , then

2 - Take the near lambda sensor exhaust cover with the M5 bit .

3 - Take the filler cap out.

4 - Taking the drain cap - Put the 24mm spanner between the exhaust pipe and the frame. HOLD IT in place with one hand , unscrewing with the other. Take the cap out and let it drain a bit , then take the filter out. Let it drain some time until it stops.

5 - Clean the filter with some degreser , like brake spray , also the caps.

6 - Put the filter in , the drain cap , screw it snug , don't need extreme force .

7 - Put the funnel into the fill hole and put 500ml of GL5 75/90 Gearbox oil.

8 - Put the filler cap and screw it snug.

9 - Put the bike down - Don't forget your side stand !!!

The V7II and V7III is about as different from the V7C and MKI as possible while still being similar bikes.

For starters the 6-speed of the II and III use half the fluid capacity of the 5-speeds, thanks to the presence of an oil pump.

But just as important is the fact that both the drain and fill locations are completely different, and the drain contains a filter screen.
