Oh I see,  I guess the 1000s is worth the trade off, maybe.. as an investment but I’d rather ride a V11.

As much as I love 1000S' I think the RC is every bit as desirable, even more so.

Interesting perspective. Been giving this a LOT of thought recently. When your butts in the seat and your hands are on the grips, on a naked bike, when the only other engagement is the view of the gauges and the experience of the ride....what's the wisest application of resources? I suppose pursuit of that answer is at the core of what we're all doing here.

I know the energy you've thrown at the 1000S as a breed, Dave. That's a telling statement from you.

The marketplace values the 1000S about double of the RC, but I think the RC is undervalued.

Agreed. No matter what the market says, the 1000S sold like Pete's rat sandwiches when new. Grizzled Guzzi Riders looked at it and said, "What will it do that my T3 won't do?" and stayed away in droves.
I could flat leave Guzzi Bob (RIP)  in the twisty bits on his 1000S with the Mighty Scura, which essentially had the Rosso suspension upgrade. Fueling is also good from the factory.

If you are talking about the riding experience.. I've ridden both a fair amount, and I'd go with the RC every time. She's a good girl..

There is a huge difference between a T3 and a 1000S in either big valve or world engine stock performance and if the 1000S was $3,500 bucks some* would have bought the bikes but at $10K+ it was just a shocking number. I am reading the same complaints now about the premium V100.

*the clip-ons and lack of a Vetter fairing was probably be a deal buster. And of course the price tag.

Yes, having owned both bikes the RC is the better bike but it took me awhile to get use to the spine frame bikes. They just feel much bigger than any of my Tonti  bikes and because I've ridden Tonti's longer I feel more comfortable on those bikes. The Ohlins suspension is the better deal for the V11 series but I haven't  found the WP suspension on the Daytona to be any lesser.

V11 Rosso Corsa, my first choice for travelling in comfort.

The only problem is it doesn't have a big luggage capacity and it's not real good off-road.  My Griso with the Tusk panniers is better.  which my son rode

A few years ago at 9,000 or so feet outside of Las Vegas returning from a Folsom to Tucson to Folsom run.  It was damn cold.

The 2003 Rosso Corsa and 2004 Nero Corsa were some of the best Guzzis ever made.  Very competent SPORT-touring machines.

Very well sorted from the factory, the only niggles being the ITI Speedometer with the failure prone odometer, and the random chance of a failed shifter return spring.

If the low miles are documented, and not a replaced speedometer, and if it's in as good a condition as it appears, the bike should garner top dollar.  Though I agree that $8500 may be optimistic in the current market, these bikes are very rare and desirable to those on the sporty side of the Guzzi spectrum.

Thx Rocker............. .. my thoughts exactly as a Nero owner.
Very hard to come by with low mileage and in unmolested condition ........... then of course add the very expensive and rare Ti-Racing exhaust system.
Just saying........... their not making any more of these unfortunately,

Ciao

My Nero Corsa went to the top of 14er Pikes Peak and Mount Evans in Colorado.  Also 12er Cottonwood Pass, and a bunch over 10k.

It was a really good all-around machine.  I wish they still made them, and I hope the new V100 series will grow into the V11's shoes.

The flywheel deal, what fun. Left Bill H. place at 11pm headed for FL. Met Dan R & Mr Peterson in the AM for breakfast. Good memories. Got my sticker & patch. Wonder if it's still on Todd"s wall?

Those Corsa model & the BillyBob model are some of the best models Guzzi ever made as far as performance & handling in one package.

OK, I thought I knew a bit about Guzzi's but I am drawing a blank on the BillyBob model.  Spill the beans please.

Dealer Tech Slang for Ballabio, Aprillia's Dorsoduro was called a DonkeyD**k.  Just easier to pronounce.

I'm shocked and dismayed also!    :embarrassed:

It appears that the main difference between the Ballabio and my 04 V11S is handlebars vs. clip ons, correct?  My aging frame is craving those Ballabio handlebars!

Big difference between the two, one has frame mounted bug screen & the other is mounted to top triple tree. One is stationary the other moves w/front end. I converted one to do the other & made a bracket for it. The owner didn't want clip-on's but handlebars. Not easy at all. I still have the bracket sketch in my files I think. That was in 08, I also did an Aprillia RSV to handlebars, again not easy.
