(NGC) - Rain
« on: June 24, 2019, 10:08:00 PM »
Received over eight inches the last few days. That is after the many inches of rain that came before.
This picture taken early this afternoon is a road looking west a mile north of my place.

This is just the tail end of my neighbor's "dry" watershed lake.

This picture is of an old windmill pump we have except the windmill longer works but this was still coming out today.

Man, I feel for you. Mother Nature has our undivided attention here, too.. but not that bad. We managed to get our corn and beans in, but  by now in a "normal" year the corn would be shoulder high. It's ankle high.     The runway has been usable for 3 days this year. (!)
I'm not sure we will have normal years any more.. but it seems people have their heads in the sand and don't want believe Mother Nature's pissed off.

You know the water table is getting higher when your well turns into a flowing well. Grain crops here in the north end of the Red River Valley of the North look great as they were planted on time, but the row crops are struggling- planted late in the wet and now wetter, but not as bad as you guys.

After a winter of record breaking snow and cold we ge this rain. It's too bad no one has come up with a market value for mosquitos.
This year should produce a bumper crop.
