Awesome Paul. I'll look into those.BTW, which half fairing have you attached to your V7? I'm interested in the same mod and am looking at several fairing offerings. It woud be helpful for me to understand how you accomplished this. Please PM me. Thanks.- Robert
I bought some bar end mirrors at a local Honda shop only to find that on the Café (and the Racer) that the bar end weights are swaged into the bars. Not willing to possibly damage an unreasonably expensive Guzzi part, I returned the mirrors and mounted some from a Sport 1200. Great mirrors, but not for a fairing. If I get to the fairing point, I'll have to see what's available.
Got myself a pair of Rizoma, pricy but good quality, also brough the Rizoma bar end which is a direct fit with our Guzzi.
Here's something that Corsa Italiana in the UK have developed.
I put these on the T. After a year the rivets loosened a bit and the mirrors blurred with vibration. I glued in some strips of bicycle innertube and that made the view steadier than ever, and made the mirrors easier to adjust. I like them.
(still need to ... cap off the mirror threads)
Don't bother. Just remove the two screws, invert them and reinstall the screws. They'll look great. And in the future, you can reverse the operation on one to make a receptacle for a RAM mount for a GPS.[/quotethank you for the tip....sounds like a winner.
The bar is solid? ??? Well, I guess you could change out the bar, as well.
Easy to drill and tap the plug to the proper size for bar-ends.
No need to drill, they just screw straight in
