Really?  He was one of them hauled off, a real shame. The kid could ride and did well.

He was flown to the hospital . 3 fatalities in 4 races may be more than some of us can take .

Some real good old fashioned American flat track racing today on fanschoice . Shayna is the fastest qualifier in the Singles class , she has always been a good miler .

If she was just a little bit bigger and stronger she would be bad on the twins  That was a great singles race , hopefully the Twins race is as good .

Yeah , looks like we are heading into another era of dominance by one brand . At least Sammy kept the Polarindians in sight with the Yamaha . Gonna be tough for anyone else, was hoping maybe one of the Kawasakis would run up front .

Not saying we won't ever see another XR , but probably only on 1/2 mile or shorter tracks . They have seen there day except maybe at the HD only support race at Springfield . For some reason the track promoters chose to not run the Singles class there , so they came up with a run what ya brung Harley only class . 883's , XR's , any
HD . Might be strange

Just before the green light at the AZ Mile:

The notion that the Kawasaki is somehow especially good on the Mile tracks is being put to rest; it's always been Bryan Smith the rider, not what he was on.

There were four Yamahas in the paddock.  Since Smith's team is now an Indian team, it isn't so obvious that a Kawasaki is the way to go.  I'm expecting more teams to gravitate to Yamaha as things continue.  Unfortunately, Yamaha is no more inclined to provide support than Kawasaki has been.  Don't be deceived that all the banners mean anything.  So far, all attempts to embarrass the factories to support the teams using their bikes and flying their flags have not been successful.

Deke , losing Howerton to Indian didn't help either , he made the Kawaski fast .

That's the point.  Without that team and that rider the Kawasaki no longer looks like the fast ticket to victory that some people thought it might be.  But, for now, it will remain the workhorse of all the other non-factory teams.  The old XR teams are already putting price tags on their paddock bikes--the collectors are snatching them up. (and, why not?  it's almost a guaranteed investment)
