Nothing new. Nice vintage Japanese hardware has been catching up. A Sandcast CB750 can go for around 20K.  What were considered throw away Japanese sportbikes are hot. Price a first gen 900rr or fzr1000 lately ? Guys my age and older remember these fondly and are starting to collect.
My wish list in order
1989 ZX7R
1992 CBR600F2
1993 CBR900RR
Suzuki TL1000R any year
Honda RC any type, any year

Agree with everyone about Japanese bikes going up in value....that's been going on now for the past few years.

The hardcore Harley AMCA guys also say that the 60's-70's "Shovelheads" of today, will be the Panhead / Knuckleheads of the future, but I will be long gone by then!

IMHO, this was the star at the Vegas show....5-8 years ago, this bike would have gone for $75,000 or more...Fabulous bike! :thumb:
