Sometimes fun to just fantasize, sometimes fun to get out the pencil and figure out what you could do if you just liquidated all your toys you have now and bought ONE fascinating, rare item, and drove/rode it like a real vehicle, keeping it in good shape as you went but not treating it like a china-doll investment ....Lannis
A Porsche Spyder replica is pretty affordable, especially in the used market but I'd want one with a Subaru engine.
It is a "BECK" replica, (made in SOCAL in the early 90's), with a hig-performance VW engine and six Weber carbs, which never stay in tune too long!
I always used to go in the '70s when it was at the Safari hotel.Much, much different than today's circus!!
Beck makes some nice replica's, how did the Spyder handle in the turns?
Here's some photo's from RM, Bonhams & Worldwidehttps://photos.app.goo.gl/1rCpEGM6jQoN8AZM6
Huh? VW flat 4 cylinder I'm assuming, so how does it have six Weber carbs? My bro's flat 6 911 had two triple-choke Webers.
I'm kind of partial to the Superbird but I would have to sell everything I own to raise the cash but I would still be short. I remember that they couldn't give them away when they were new.kk
Oh, oh, oh!!!....I spotted the Hodaka right away..
I was at Bonhams & Russo-Steele today.............. ...https://photos.app.goo.gl/AEQ2cuQjYTKK3CQN8
