I have four motorcycles and room for one more.  Our son was kind enough to take the GS and the Duacti to his house.  Number one Granddaughter said she would be happy to take the TW200.

I had to go on a work trip last week. Had to haul some things to a new plant. So I took the Miata. Hadn't been started in about 6 months. So I drive it to work, to pick up things to take. Some genius also added a small 1 foot by 1 foot by 1 foot case with some equipment in it. I asked them what they wanted me to do with it, and they said take it with you. I told them that I was NOT on my motorcycle, so I didn't have room for it. And yes I checked, it did not fit in the Miata trunk.  ::)

 ;D They make a rack that attaches to the trunk designed to attach a box or that's what the advertisement says.  Sort of like the top box on the motorcycle and about as expensive.  ;D  It was an impulse sort of purchase but it starting to grow on me. This summer that AC is going to feel nice.  ;D  :BEER:

Wife's seat comes out w/4 bolts for the dogs.

We have put almost a thousand miles on the new car and have come to the following:
After a few miles is just as uncomfortable as the motorcycle.
By leaving the top down and turning the heater on in the summer and the AC in the Winter and it's about the same thing.
Doesn't fall over when you stop.
About as hard to climb into as a motorcycle is to climb onto.   
A twelve pack will fit in the trunk but that's about all.
The seats are almost as big as the seats found on a Honda Goldwing. 
There is no way we can carry all our camping gear with out adding some sort of trunk rack.
Some sort of hearing protection is advisable while driving with the top down.

I always liked the miata. Wanted one too but didn't make sense. So we got this.
It's a TDI to boot. I've averaged 47mpgs on my way into work. Highest while trying 61 mpg. If I floor it and drive like a 17 year old I'll get 40mpg. TORQUE!!!!!

if it's 65 or higher I'll drop the top. It had heated seats standard. Really nice. Oh, and a car seat "fits" in the back. Not too shabby.

My MG Midget with the tonneau half zip was a fun ride. The heater core had more fluid capacity than the engine displacement. A Jackie Stewart style Bell logo cap, BRG body with tan leather. I miss that car.

I have owned a few convertibles, 68 Triumph Spitefire that I restored back in the mid 80's, a 74 1/2 MGB that kept trying to set itself on fire and a 91 Saab 900 Turbo that I sold last summer. For me nothing beats a warm muggy August night with a full moon and some nice country roads for top down driving.
