16 V7II at 1923 miles...
« on: October 28, 2017, 06:30:46 PM »
Greetings All!

Just returned from a 180 mile ride through the NorCal Sierra's. Jackson, Sutter Creek, Plymouth and Ione area.

The V7II performed better than any bike I've owned...including my Cali's. The power delivery was never lacking and the cornering (even with the Sport Demon's!!) was like riding on rails. My riding partner Mikee said that he was having fun trying to keep up on his BMW 1100. Didn't think that would be hard to do because I'm no Ricky Racer...just enjoy a "brisk pace"!

Yes the rear shocks will be replaced with Ikon's but not a critical "right now" needed upgrade. The Dart Marlin flyscreen helped keep the wind off my chest but still allowed enough air flow to keep me cool in our 85 degree weather. A larger screen will be mounted for winter for more coverage.

I am very happy with this bike. I am sure the V7III is just the same with a few more ponies added. Don't think that would have made a difference in my decision though...to me the II fit me better than the III. Of course everyone is different...(I know I've been called different!!).....

Just wanted to pass on a little real world experience.

No we didn't take any pics....having too much fun riding!!!!!

Ride safe and often,

Jeff

and yes Dusty I will change out the plug caps and fuel filter!!!!!

Glad you are happy with the bike.

Go back and take some pics.

I'm in Eastern Sierras right now - but with a dirt bike.

 Only about 140K miles to catch up Jeff  :laugh:

 No doubt those "little" V7's punch above their weight class  :thumb:

Change the spark plug caps.   Put silicon sealant in the spark plug wire as it enters the
cap.    Do it and save a lot of grief.   DAMHIK.

No need to rush on changing the fuel filter.

Eliminate the negative;
Latch on to the affirmative;
