Dual-Cable Throttle Replacement
« on: June 05, 2017, 11:23:37 PM »
Hey guys,

In my Monza rebuild, I don't want to use the original throttle hand control because it's integrated with the lego-block switchgear. Any recommendations for good double-cable units to replace it with?

I've look at Dime City and other places, but they are all single cable devices. I could get a single-to-double splitter, but I'd rather just have two cables/two adjusters/two carbs.

Here's my current setup with a DCC 'twin' throttle, but its some weird push-me-pull-you type arrangement. Advice gratefully received!

Cheers,

_ Pasta

How about one of these?:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tommaselli-Daytona-2C-throttle-assembly-Ducati-750SS-900SS-Guzzi-LeMans-Laverda-/172676378921?hash=item2834507129:g:rDYAAOSwDiBZGgf2&vxp=mtr

Tommaselli 2C, not the best price on this one, but not the worst. they also come in black.

Looks good! Do you know if the cover/hand grip is replaceable? I want to use a particular style of handgrip, not the one it comes with.

Yes, the handgrips are replaceable. Mgcycle.com has the Tommaselli Daytona 2C in chrome or black for less money.

The chrome version was stock on the T3, and is very satisfactory.

Moto you beat me to it, but I would still like to add:

The rubber grips are replaceable with any grip set designed for a 7/8th bar and throttle. This throttle fits a normal Guzzi 7/8" bar like my Eldo and Ambo. May????? fit 22mm????

If your not in a rush, look for a better price at a dealer like MG Cycle or check under Guzzi throttle on fleabay. This price though is not bad for new.
