tire change cheating......
« on: October 20, 2021, 11:19:12 AM »
I had change a 11x4.00-5 tubeless tire lately.  Kinda of a pain, since the wheel is so small it is hard to hang on to.  I was going to make a quick bolt down stand to hold the wheel, but after a bit of thought I used some C-Clamps to force the tire where I needed it and then hold it into place.

A bit of liquid hand soap for lube, and easily mounted with some 15" tire irons!!!

Redneck Engineering kicks butt!!!!

I replaced the front tires on my zero turn last year and ended up buying the HF small wheel tire machine. Worked okay but those small tires are a PITA to change. Glad it’s a once a decade type thing

The first side of the tire went on pretty easily.  The second side was tough, until I got out the C-Clamps.  It was like having 5 hands (smaller and much stronger than my own) to change the tire.  Overall, it was a lot easier than I expected it to be.
