Hi, folks.
For a long time, it has been impossible to find NOS intake boots for Eldos that came from the factory with Amal carbs during the Dellorto strike (of 1973, I believe). I just had an email exchange with Greg at Clauss Studios about sending my old/damaged intake boot to him for reproduction, and he told me that someone had just sent him a decent one to work with. This is fantastic news for the hobby, and I wanted to send out a note of thanks to whoever sent it to him. I missed that opportunity in 2016 when Don G was kind enough to send me a perfect original that he had, and needed it back before I got around to forwarding it on to Greg for reproduction (entirely my fault).
Bottom line is that the reproduced Amal intake boot will be available for purchase within a couple of months (give or take). Great news for the community, and we definitely owe someone our thanks. Hopefully that person will stand up and take a bow.
