V7iii Yss rear suspension ?!?
« on: April 09, 2021, 09:46:00 PM »
Looking at the local royal enfield dealer and he has some nice
YSS twin shocks 360mm but adjustable length so can wind down to 350mm (but im 6'4" so 360mm might do anyway)
13mm and 10 mm mount holes (i dont know what my 2017 50th annio has but should be able to drill or spacer them out)
anyone tried these on a MG V7iii ?
.... i had yss on my FZ1 and they seemed great

yep looking at front end too they have a set up enfield bikes are helped by with drilling out valves  some spacers and emulators

Are you buying these new or take offs?

If you really want to do something that will meet your expectations without any doubts, I would suggest contacting Jim Hamlin @ Hamlin Cycle. Jim set me up with K Tech bits on both ends. Razor 4's on the back and new internals for the front. All built to my weight. Big improvement over the stock bargain basement suspension.

The places that I am aware of for the front end all make you send them the forks. Evidently there is some machine work required and that way everything is done properly. I guess I don't know if the front is gas or oil, but the rears are gas. everything is fully adjustable for preload, compression, and rebound. The rears were custom built and drop shipped to me directly. Easy install on my Milano. The fronts, like I said, were done by Jim. He is truly an expert when it comes to stuff like this.

Due to the weather here, (road salt), I have only had a couple opportunities to take the bike out since I did the upgrade, but it is evident there is an improvement. A drastic improvement. Then they salted again.

I realize this is not what you asked about, but since you are a new poster here, I didn't know if you were aware of your options. Feel free to disregard if you want.
