NGC. RV tire pressure
« on: July 24, 2021, 07:00:20 PM »
I got new TPMS system. Started with 82# in each tire then drove 20 miles.. care to  comment on why the right rear pressure went up and down on the left inner dually?

2, is it correct to inflate to correct pressure when "cold" ? It was 85f when I aired up. So it's ok to have higher reading when going down the road or should the tires be adjusted after warming up?

That left inner bears looking after. Could have an issue. If the left inner has an extension hose for ease of filling I would look there first, some of those are really poorly made especially the RV equipment supplier type, look for some at a truck tire supplier. After cooling overnight did they all return to set pressure? I would not be concerned of differences of less the 20 - 30% on heat build up. With truck tires 25% build is thought to be okay. Check with the tire manufacturer, most truck tire suppliers have information on these types of things.

The inner tires do have extensions, I bought some kind of pricey stainless wrapped models. But I think the old one is still on that L inner.. I'll check that.
Don't know what happened when they cooled down. I'm not near there now.
