PNW Guzzi Dealers
« on: June 25, 2022, 02:04:57 PM »
Looks like Portland is going to get a Guzzi dealer at some point. Reason I found it is, I need to take my 2016 Stornello in for crank issues. Piaggio is going to have a dealer, and their  Moto Guzzi Tech Team look at the engine  in my 2016 V7ii Stornello . Crank slop showed up right at 2000 mile.. No clutch adjustment issues before that time.. all at once the clutch pull went limp. I readjusted it at the trans to get home..Changed the oil, and filter, and no metal yet.. Pulled the starter, and now has slop back, and forth in the crank.. I did buy a engine off of ebay for a bit under $1100 4400 miles, and no slop in it..  Depending on Piaggio, I might or might not use it.. The Seattle Guzzi is 330 miles from my home, and Portland is 150 miles.. Hopefully the Portland store will open soon, or it's off to Seattle for me..

2000 mile, eh? Another example of the dreaded V7 II crank issue?

It's going to be interesting how Moto Guzzi handles this one or not? At least I have a back up plan in the Ebay engine..The clutch slop was not a creeping adjustment issue on this one..It happened all at once.. Starter removal showed what is up with the Flywheel movement.None on the replacement engine, and I had the seller check that before I bought it.. Looks like a good one anyway..

I sure like the way my V-7ii runs, and the power output is a good match for the chassis .Its only if you get lucky with the crankshaft that there is issues..I don't expect the 4400 mile engine to have any problems at all..
