Good news. I may gripe about the medical profession, but they can do some wonderful things. Hang in there, JC..

I'm glad it went well.  Two years ago about this time of year, I was in the hospital waiting room for one of my best friends.  He'd had a quadruple bypass.  After the surgery, he wasn't in the hospital very long.  His wife did the driving since they had to travel from Okla City to their home SW of Denver.

It's been successful for him.  All the best here.  I hope for the same outcome.

It's amazing the things the medical profession can do now days. I delivered a tens unit to cardiac surgeon in the cath lab one time, he was reviewing a procedure he'd just finished on the computer. The detail of the heart was incredible! Then they rolled the patient right by us on a gurney. Kinda gave me the heebie jeebies

Again, thanks for all of the support, guys. The surgery went off without a hitch. It actually went so smoothly that the surgeon decided to go ahead and make it a quadruple, also bypassing an artery that was only 40%-50% clogged, which they normally don't worry about in a situation when there are much worse ones to do, and they're trying to get it done quickly. So dad got a 4 for 3 deal, haha. We were able to see him, before visiting hours. He was awake but miserable, as he was still intubated, but they should be able to take the tube out within the next few hours ended. They did have to strap him down, as he's one of those people who immediately, instinctively went for the tube, when he started to regain consciousness. Hard to see the tough old man in that condition, but we're through the worst of the danger, at least. Looking forward to talking to him as soon as visiting hours start in the morning.

Glad to hear all went as well as it did. As you say, if he's that tough , he'll be onery as as always. 90% mental 10% physical. Blessings to Him and your family!!!
