Title: tornado watch
Post by: yogidozer on March 09, 2019, 04:10:07 PM
Just read this, hope like heck they are wrong
The National Weather Service has issued tornado watches for parts of Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas and says those states face an "enhanced risk" for severe weather.
Take precautions with your family, pets, farm animals

Well hoping they are wrong.
Maybe, just maybe they are being cautious after only nine minute warning last time.
I wonder if it would be worth it to keep a barometer handy? Or maybe it rolls in too quickly.
IDK  :undecided:

Birds, wild animals and my dogs give signs of bad weather coming. IF..IF you are paying attention.
Also clouds. Often lower clouds go in a totally opposite direction than higher ones.

Watches and warnings about.  Have the TV on the local weather and weather.gov on the screen.

I will put on my Hi-Viz cordura one piece riding suit, and the rest of the gear and get in the tub.  If I die the hi-viz should help them find the body I left behind.

Hey, try this. Type in any location near you, it might give you a more precise warning than that USA map.
Seems like it's coming from west, maybe slightly south/west.

Large and powerful system, we've got winter storm warnings up on the north end of it in Minnesota. Not as extreme though as the time a couple years ago when we had a tornado warning on the south side of the county and a blizzard warning on the north!

Everyone in that area...take heed...and be safe!  Those photos from AL were a terrible reminder of the tremendous forces of nature that can wreak havoc and tragedy all around...
