I was looking for a T, T3 or G5. My cousin called me last night and said his buddy wanted to get rid of his Ambo. It is a bike I rode 3 years ago and it ran well. It hasn’t been out of the barn since October 16 and the battery was dead, but I took a chance and loaded her up. It came with faring bags and a box of extras. It was a really good buy and I should have her up and running tomorrow. Here are a few pics. And yes, haha! understand about chrome bores. I put a 68 together a few years ago.

Very nice,
               If it was running last October I would be tempted to keep it running subject to an inspection ASAP to asses the state of chrome. I know of several around here still going strong because they have been run on a regular basis.
The Pacific Northwest is pretty damp.

This will not be a restore like my 68. It will be a clean up and ride the heck out of bike.

That is going to be sweet.... Love the Older Guzzi's and cant wait til I can find one like this to rebuild. CONGRATS!

I am in Loop-envy again of the original paint job. Of the (4) Loops I've owned, only 1 had original paint. That's a straight rig!

Where the knee-guards an option along with the footboards? I've only seen the footboards with the police dash.

I agree with your intent of fixing it to RIDE it. Much more hip to ride a weathered-looking Loop than a restored one, I think. But that's just me.

Nice score! I think it'll clean up real nice. Original finish, too... Too nice to repaint. Once they're restored, the history is gone forever...

I have the leg guards on my '70 Ambo.  It was a left-over as a police bike in Kent, WA.
