Title: Scandal - FuelGate in 5AM BIN
Post by: Meinolf on March 24, 2019, 02:27:42 AM
Hi,

recently an ominous function was discovered in the 2V BINs (2230). Well hidden, the function increases the fuel injection for a short period by 10%.

The boundary parameters are that current TPS is < 73.2° and > 40° and the roadspeed is > 45km/h and < 55km/h and 2nd or 3rd gear engaged, then the fuel will be increased for either 6s or until a roadspeed of 90km/h is achieved.

It is not related to the acceleration enrichment function, we still wonder what the purpose is supposed to be. I couldn't find a similar routine in any other 5AM BIN regardless of make or OEM.

Cheers

While the purpose escapes me for any practical reason, the circumstances when this condition would exist would be so rare as to be almost non existent.
