Like anything, it takes training but WOW! F1 steering wheel for a Mercedes race car.

My neighbor, Joanne needs me to explain how to use the controls on her Buick’s steering wheel. Each instruction lasts about a month...
My BMW R12RS is sorta like that. Mapping, suspension/ABS/TC adjustments, indicators, horn, navigation, cruise, dash mode...the pods are so full that the high beam switch is a trigger on the front of the handlebar. It’s pretty cool as it really makes me a better rider, but I sometimes worry about the complexity. I guess I’ll know soon. I have about 7000 miles scheduled for the spring and early summer. That ought to reveal the nature of the beast...

I gotta wonder about the friend in PHX. He's got a bunch of stuff on his Cal 1400 Touring. Besides the oem LCD screen, he has a GPS and his Iphone hooked up w/Bluetooth. Too much for me.

It's amazing how much function they pack into an F1 wheel. Thanks for the vid. :thumb:

Looks like a game console controller.

And here's a game controller that looks like a Ferrari F1 steering wheel...

(and is authorized by Ferrari!)
Moto
Now I need one for my Toyota.

I wonder if I would get a ticket for distracted driving?
-
Might as well take the driver out of the interface and let an autopilot run the laps!
-
I'm guessing the steering wheel is flown in so cars actually have one thing that was built by Mercedes itself, and not UK based F1 companies that Mercedes bought long after they were successful. Sure, it's super over complicated nonsense, but that's the price of being owned by Mercedes
