Title: Why i love riding
Post by: annchriss234 on April 10, 2019, 02:22:03 AM
Riding is all about passion. Riders never do it because they need to. Even it is not a hobby, it’s a passion. Being a rider, I love my life. All I want is to travel along the world in my motor guzzi. It is my favorite one.  I don’t want to miss any of the beautiful places in the world. I think riders have a deep fire in the heart for achieving what we desire for. I want to reach up to impossible miles and terrains. Others may think of the expenses we have to care about. But trust me. We don’t care about it. I don’t mind spending a good amount of my savings for bikes and its service charges. I feel like money should be spent to live the life happily. My happiness is riding. So I will spend as much as I can. Bike is in the top place in my need list. Some famous riders like Joey Dunlop and John McGuinness have made their obsession in to their profession. I also want to become famous riders like them. I will try hard to fulfill my dreams. They are really inspiring and I want to be one of them. I want live my life as well as inspire others. I want to share something about my childhood. When I was a small kid, my parents used to care me where ever I go as every parent. When I have grown up a little, say 9 years, I got a bicycle and I could go alone at least to grocery. I still remember how I enjoyed that freedom. Freedom is the most wanted thing in life. Riding gives a feel of freedom. I am the only one who is controlling me. I feel like I am flying without limits. I can go to any place with full of freedom.

Welcome to the playground... and that's a pretty deep thought for an opener.  :thumb:

Yes, we ride because we have something within us that is only satisfied when we're going down the road on two wheels.

That desire, fire, passion, drive, whatever name you hang on it, is a sentiment that crosses borders, cultures, societal classes, and binds us all together. We have that in common... and it's enough to make us all brothers and sisters... We. Are. Riders. :bike-037:

May I ask where you are from?

Are you using a translator?

Well, that's some pretty deep thought indeed. I just like squishing bugs @ 70 to 80 MPH and getting out of the house <shrug>

I am having so much fun at 20 - 40 mph these days that I don't even care to ride at 65 - 85 mph anymore.  I can ride with my faceshield open and have time to take in the scenery as it goes by.

When I get on the Road Glide I feel like I have to go somewhere.  When I get on the V7 I am searching for smooth curvy roads.  When I get on the Himalayan I can explore along streams and ridges at sedate speeds and see new and interesting things within a 50 mile radius of my home.   :thumb:

A passion, indeed. More than once, I have been called obsessive about our favorite conveyance. mea culpa.

Agreed, riding my moto guzzi make me feel so alive, and riding my Aprila makes me wonder how much longer I will remain so.

I hope it's not spam. What would he be selling, Joey Dunlop on bike camera videos?
It seems he gets it so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

[/quote. And when you’re not doing all that, you can get on the interneck and tell everyone about all your bikes🤣

I don't really know why I ride.  It's not cheap (like it used to be) and it's not practical.  But I can't imagine not riding.

It’s nice that you can express yourself in an open hearted way without feeling that you will be vilified for being fanciful..
Truth be told, most of us think like that after countless hours inside our own helmet, inside our own heads.
The road will drag the truth out of your subconcious that everyday life suppresses.
Thanks for expressing your thoughts.
