I've been putting off selling my two bikes, I really should get rid of them so that someone can enjoy them like I have.
The 2002 EV needs nothing. The question is for the 2007 Breva 1100 It needs a new headlight, should I buy one and fix it or sell as is.
Thanks

There was a recent thread about replacing the headlamp on the B1100, didn't seem too labor or cash intense.
Wish I had the money, I'd show up at your door and haul them home.
Best of luck.

I think a lot of people look at that as a safety issue as opposed to maybe a ripped seat cover. It also sounds better to say " everything works" than " it needs this or that" My $.02

Anything needing repairs will likely stay on the 'shelf' longer than ready to go, good condition. It's also easier to be firm with your pricing. R3~

It really depends on how you price them. A knowledgeable Guzzi fan will know it is a deal and know how to get it back to road worthy and will buy it.
Others will wonder if it is a good deal and whether they will even be able to fix the headlight without trying to rig a different headlight in its place.
Also, when I am looking at bikes and see something isn't right, I wonder if the person slacked on maintainance as well and offer accordingly to reduce my risk.
When I sell bikes I make sure and make the as presentable as possible. You would be surprised at the number of test rides I have shown up at and the bike only had 10 lbs of air in the tires. :violent1:

How much for the Breva as is , we need a raffle bike for next year's Cedar Vale event , and we have an expert tech available to sort it out .

Dusty, Let decide on a price and I'll get back to you. It has Hepco/Becker top case and side case racks on it and a set of bags. All it needs is a head light and a wind shield.
Tires are like new.

Does White Magnolia know her head is on the chopping block?
One of the prettiest bikes I have ever seen a photo of. I suspect that will really hurt when you see her disappear down the drive.

No she doesn't know yet. But she needs someone that will take out for rides.

How many threads have express cynicism when the expressions ran when parked/ only needs $5 worth of parts to be a $15000 bike..... no I don't expect you to go and count. You might not make any dollar value on the repair but it will most likely make the difference between and quick and easy sale and a drawn out one.

Exactly. If the owner is too cheap to replace a few parts, it makes you think what else did he go "cheap" on!

Dean, what's wrong with the headlight? I have a 'Bruised' one in the workshop. Should I send you some pics?
If the B gets sent up as a Cedar Vale raffle bike I'll throw the light in for a donation to MSF. Usual deal.

I've kinda always wanted a B1100 for some reason. I just feel that it might be a real hoot on these Ozark twisties...I'll be watching.
