Title: LARIO DYNO every day a school day, luddite may go efi
Post by: jacksonracingcomau on April 12, 2019, 01:46:48 AM
so in prep for the hot sb 8v I have to build
welded bosses for lamda sensors in both headers, really to see how difference could be compensated, carbs or efi
graph and charts for std lario engine, sorry not dynojet hp, is brake dyno, add some conversion factor for DJRWP
but lamda twixt cylinders so subtle not possible to remedy with main jets,  yes I know I  need much less pilot and needle, these leanest I had today.
think I am about to learn to write maps !
this with cam and serious tb’s should start to talk
red is after a fiddle, blue 1st run
charts right and left cylinders last run

I had to learn the EFI stuff and how to read sensors w/multimeter back in 93-95, didn't get software till 07 when I could afford it. Didn't even have a computer till 2000. Good luck w/your quest.
If you are running stock carbs, I have somewhere in my books the jetting set-up for open pipes & no airbox on the 4V Lario.
Looks like you are using the newer approach w/sensors and % in mixture. I read plugs out on the road.

base run is by feel , a bit of trial and error -I was pd. close
except pilot even with a 35 it is fatter that lady who will sing

Easy remedy but looking at chart all wot 5k + you can see where you cannot correct further , this best possible with std carbs
with efi total correction between cylinders  etc is possible
maybe subtle but good game
interesting my std one still makes good power at 8k other graphs on here drop like stone, might just be zorst
but 5000 hard miles on road and arvo on dyno tell me I have put the pin back in, no reason I can see for any reliabilty question
so now I go for broke,  all tricks I know and a few I can learn
will post build and eventual dyno runs on here if anyone interested

not at all, if it didn’t break in the middle of tas, thrashed mercilessly, where inconvenience would have mega, why would it break 20 miles from home?
Actually went outside during runs, the sound when it gets on the pipe addictive but listening to (tin) shed reverberating to the tune even better
