I have read a plethora of words dealing with the shift linkage on my '07 CalVin. As this is my third time dealing with the linkage I have become familiar with the parts and how they go together. What I haven't been able to access is how to adjust it properly. I drilled a hole so I can get to the Allen screw with a wrench and have the lever on the shaft parrallel to the ground. After trying different combinations of adjustments I still can't access all 5 gears. A link to a video or article on adjustment would be helpful.
Thanks, Brineyjim.

How much slop have you got in the various bushes and linkages ?

There's a little slop but not enough to keep me from adjustment. The lever that slips over splined shaft came off on my way to work. In the process of reattachment I got the adjustments far from correct. I had them correct previously.

Sorry can't do better than that ! It does seem to be full of potential problems with the double linkage though.

Have you tried a different hole on the rear pivot? One is a shorter throw than the other. AND you can even drill another hole in the arm if need be.

Sounds like a similar thing happened to this guy and his resolution to the problem. The part about being a spline off one way or another may be the key.
