Title: Chrome vs painted fenders. 70 Ambassador
Post by: T4halo on April 21, 2019, 10:24:49 AM
I was talking to a guy earlier today who mentioned he had a set of Loop Frame chrome fenders he’d sell me. My bike has faded original black and white paint. I was thinking the chrome would look good but could be like putting lipstick on a pig. Oh ya, he wants $400 for the pair, a bit high priced to me.

Depends on condition I guess. If the chrome is thin or scratched it may match just fine.  Personally, I don't like the looks of chromed fenders as much as I do painted.

I prefer the look of painted fenders on Loops, too.  But chrome fenders look better on early Tontis.  No idea why.  :)
